Fees and Insurance

Individual 50-minute session (in-person or telehealth) – $150*

Group therapy session – $55

Group sessions may vary in length, but the typical group session is 75 minutes.

*Individual sessions typically last for 50 minutes, although session length may vary depending on your specific needs and preferences. You will never be billed more for a session than the amount previously agreed upon, even if we run over time.

I DO NOT accept insurance payment or file insurance forms. Upon request, I will provide you with a monthly statement that has all the necessary information for you to complete your insurance forms so that you seek reimbursement. Many insurance plans have out-of-network benefits. You may wish to check with your insurance company prior to scheduling your first session to ask if services will be covered.

The initial session is an opportunity to learn more about the individual and what brings them to therapy. In the first meeting, we will also discuss an initial plan for beginning therapy. If either the client or I find that I may not be the most effective resource, I will provide referrals for other providers.

Often with parents of younger children, I use a 1:3:1 approach. The first meeting will be with the parent; I will then meet individually with the child for three sessions; and the fifth session will include only the parents, during which I will share my observations and recommend a course of treatment for a child. This may mean additional sessions with the child, the parents, or both.

You will never be billed more for a session than the amount previously agreed upon.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit http://www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
